This programme prepares you to be successful IT managers in the growing world of technology by providing skills that range across the core areas of computing and systems management. It is designed to cover the theory, practice and applications of computing and information systems. It provides you with the advanced knowledge and skills necessary to design and use modern computer-based information systems.
Candidates seeking direct admission to the programme mentioned should possess a General Education Diploma (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling or equivalent qualification) in the science stream and General Foundation Programme (GFP) Certificate.
Students who do not possess a GFP certificate or an equivalent certificate may take MEC placement test. The placement test determines proficiency levels in English, Pure Math and Computing component.
English Language in the GFP can be exempted on producing IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with a score of 5.5 and above, a TOEFL equivalent or an equivalent international certification
Computing component of the GFP can be exempted if the candidate has successfully completed the ICDL or IC3 or any equivalent international diploma in IT skills.
A score of 60% and above in MEC placement test in each of the component would enable the student for exemption from General Foundation programme.
