MEC Student Success Centre: A direction towards successful educational experience

Student Success Centre

The Student Success Centre (SSC) was established in the year 2007, with a two-member team and was known as the Learning Advisory and Career Counseling Unit. Benchmarking Student Success Centre services against those of reputed universities lead to several changes including the adoption of the name Student Success Centre and the refinement of its overall mission and objectives.  At present the Center has five full-time members who combine their knowledge, skills and experience to assist students towards success. The availability of two Psychological Counselors addresses the various aspects of a student’s personality.

It is the 9th month in the order of the Hijri calendar, the month where the Quran was revealed for the first time more than 1000 years ago. It is called as ‘Ramadan’ which is an Arabic word that comes from the root ‘ar-ramad’ and means the scorching heat or high temperature which may refer to the period Muslims were asked to start fasting.

MEC to celebrate its 4th ARM Graduation Day

4th ARM Graduation Day

Middle East College (MEC) is celebrating the 4th Archives and Records Management (ARM) Graduation Day on Wednesday, 27th April 2016 at Oman Auditorium at Al Bustan Palace Hotel, Muscat. The 4th batch which includes about 257 graduates will be awarded Diploma and Bachelor certificates during this event. It will be inaugurated by H. E. Nasser bin Khamis bin Ali Al Jashmi, Undersecretary, Ministry of Finance, Sultanate of Oman in the presence of Prof. R. C. Bhattacharjee, Dean, MEC, eminent guests from the education sector and MEC faculty and staff.
