A team consisting of two undergraduate students from Middle East College (MEC) have been awarded by The Research Council of Oman (TRC) under the Faculty Mentored Undergraduate Research Award Programme of TRC (FURAP) during the Annual Research Forum 2017 on the 10th December 2017 for their winning project; entitled ‘Automatic daily activity management system for the elderly person’, under the category ‘Health and Social Services’.

A new facility building, the Student Hub, was officially inaugurated on Monday, the 2nd October 2017, at the Middle East College (MEC) campus, Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM). The inauguration ceremony was held under the auspices of H.E. Dr Rawya Saud Al-Busaidi, Minister of Higher Education, Oman, in the presence of dignitaries and eminent persons from the public and private sector, the MEC management, students and staff.

The 7000 sqm student facilities building, MEC Student Hub is all set to be officially inaugurated on Monday, 2nd October 2017 at Middle East College premises, Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM). H.E. Dr. Rawya Saud Al-Busaidi, Minister of Higher Education, Sultanate of Oman will officially inaugurate the 7000 sqm student facilities building.
