Dr. Kiran Gopakumar Rajalekshmi has been appointed as the Dean of Middle East College, effective 14th May 2017.  

Dr. Kiran G.R. holds a PhD in Information Systems from London School of Economics, UK, M.Phil in Applied Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, Masters in Business Administration from University of Kerala, and B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering, Trivandrum, India.

Dr. Kiran G.R. has more than 20 years of experience at national and international level in areas relating to higher education management, teaching, research, quality assurance, policy development, social computing, governance reforms, e-governance, and ICT for development.
He joined Middle East College in 2006 as Head of Department, Management Studies and continued to take up the role of Head of the Department, Postgraduate Studies and Research. Later as the Director, Teaching & Learning, he has been instrumental in devising specific strategies for enhancing student learning experience through the institutional adoption of active teaching approaches. Holding the position of Deputy Dean, he led the college’s efforts to develop a research portfolio and played a major role in establishing international academic partnerships.
