Qualification Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Quantity Surveying & Construction Management
Entry Requirements Candidates seeking direct admission to the programme mentioned should possess a General Education Diploma (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling or equivalent qualification) in the science stream with a score of at least 65% both in Pure Math and Physics.

Further, candidates should pass the Placement Test conducted by MEC which includes English, Mathematics and Computing components. To be exempted from English Language in the Foundation Programme, candidates require a 5.5 score on IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or its equivalent and to be exempted from the Computing component of the GFP, they should have successfully completed the ICDL or IC3. In addition, candidates will have to pass the Math component of the college Placement Test.
Department Civil Engineering

Quantity Surveying and Construction Management is a challenging, demanding and rewarding profession, which will enable you to contribute to the present and future well-being of modern and developing Oman. This programme takes a civil engineering approach to equip you with the core knowledge, skills and specialist abilities/ expertise in the areas of quantity surveying, costing and estimation, and commercial management relating to the construction industry and familiarizes you with construction services, materials and structures, design and visualization.
As a graduate of this programme you will typically find technical or management careers within the construction industry, in entry and middle level roles for project management, quantity surveying/ commercial management and building control, consultancy or research. You will also be well-qualified to take on more general roles as engineers in the construction industry.
