Qualification Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Data Communication & System Administration
Entry Requirements Candidates seeking direct admission to the programme mentioned should possess a General Education Diploma (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling or equivalent qualification) in the science stream, a minimum score of 65% in any two of the following modules/courses:
a) Pure Math
b) Physics
c) Chemistry
d) Biology
Further, candidates should pass the Placement Test conducted by MEC which includes English, Mathematics and Computing components. To be exempted from English Language in the Foundation Programme, candidates require a 5.5 score on IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or its equivalent and to be exempted from the Computing component of the GFP, they should have successfully completed the ICDL or IC3. In addition, candidates will have to pass the Math component of the college Placement Test.
Department Computing

This programme gives you a comprehensive understanding of different communication channels and the issues associated with them. It facilitates the acquisition of skills in the design, development and implementation of communication systems that are appropriate to their environment. This programme also prepares you to be successful system administrators in a real-time environment.
The programme is intended for those of you who wish to pursue careers in research, development, operations and management of networks and services. It addresses the specific needs of the world-wide communications industry. Further, it is designed to support your learning that combines knowledge and skills in networking as well as the development of network services.
