Entry Requirements 1. An applicant to the programme will normally be expected to possess at least one of the following:
       • A minimum of a second class Honours degree in Electronics Engineering
       • A relevant professional qualification of an equivalent level to a second class Honours degree in Electronics Engineering

2-Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English Language equivalent to IELTS Band 6.5 or produce an authorized letter from the institution of study that the medium of instruction was in the English Language

3. All applicants will be subject to approval from the partner University

4. No Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) will be given against modules in this programme.

The programme is designed to develop students’ knowledge and expertise in the area of electronic engineering. It enables the students to understand advanced principles of electronic engineering and their relationship to contemporary, real-world applications. The course also ensures that the students are will be able to plan, execute and critically evaluate projects in electronic engineering and thereby improve their wider employment prospects.

On successful completion of the programme you should be able to:

  • Conceptualize complex technical aspects of electronic engineering
  • Conduct a thorough and systematic analysis of various aspects of electronics and use appropriate channels to disseminate the findings;
  • Critically evaluate a range of possible options or solutions to address a sizeable practical problem and present a soundly reasoned justification for the final recommendation.


  • Apply skills to both individual and team work in order to make effective and efficient use of time and resources;
  • Plan and carry out an independent project or dissertation either to solve a real practical problem or to conduct research related to your chosen specialist area;
  • Make effective and systematic use of a range of appropriate tools and techniques for design, analysis and development of computer-based solutions to complex problems;
  • Demonstrate a wide range of problem solving skills;
  • Communicate results and analysis for a professional audience.
