Mr. Lefeer Muhamed Marakkarackayil, Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer.
Mr. Lefeer Muhamed Marakkarackayil is the founding Managing Director of Middle East College and the founding Director of Evolution Group of companies. He is an alumnus of the University of Wolverhampton.  He completed his MBA in the year 1996, with a major in International Business. After completing his studies, he began his career in the manufacturing industry and then in the service sector in India. In the year 2001, Mr. Marakkarackayil, assumed office and has actively contributed to its development with his strategic leadership. In the year 2007, Mr. Marakkarackayil along with Dr. Sabahy, co-founded the Asian Institute of Gaming & Animation (AIGA), Bangalore, India, which is one of the members of NASSCOM, and an advisory body to the Government of India and Government of Karnataka. Mr. Lefeer Muhamed Marakkarackayil has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship (2012) by the University of Wolverhampton UK, in recognition of his contributions to the field of Higher Education in the Sultanate of Oman.

Dr. Kiran Gopakumar Rajalekshmi, Acting Dean

Dr. Kiran G R is the Acting Dean at Middle East College, Oman. He holds a PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics, MPhil in Applied Economics, MBA, and Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has around 20 years of work experience in government and education sectors in India, United Kingdom and the Sultanate of Oman in areas relating to social computing, organisation management, higher education administration, teaching, quality assurance, policy making, governance reforms and e-governance. He was previously heading the E-governance activities of the Government of Kerala in India. He was also the head of Akshaya Project, one of the largest ICT for development projects in the world. During the tenure he actively participated in strategy formulation at the national and state level as well as gained extensive experience in engaging with multilateral agencies including Asian Development Bank through the MGP project of the state.

His research interests include Cross Border Higher Education and the implications of technology on society in general and more particularly on governance, education, and healthcare. He has done research projects for the Government of India, the World Bank, the Commonwealth Secretariat and Microsoft Research India. He has travelled widely and has many publications in the areas of interest mentioned. He has also presented in various conferences across the world.. He joined Middle East College on 27th September, 2006.

Mr. Ali Said Ali Al Araimi, Deputy Managing Director

Mr. Ali Said Ali Al Araimi holds a Postgraduate degree in Management in Learning and Leadership from University of Lancaster. He is an alumnus of Sultan Qaboos University, Sultanate of Oman with a Bachelors in Commerce & Economics with a Finance Major.  He has been associated with the  Middle East College since 2002. 

Mr. Ashwin John K, Deputy Dean and Registrar
Mr. Ashwin J.K holds a Postgraduate degree in Management in Higher Education Administration from Loughborough University. He is currently pursuing his PhD at University of Wolverhampton. He joined the Registry Services of the Middle East College on 1st September 2002. Since then, he has been at the forefront of providing leadership for the institution in the area of admissions and registration. He previously worked in the service industry.

Dr.Anupam Srivastav, Associate Dean

Having doctorate and masters in Mechanical Engineering from U.P Technical University and IIT-BHU, India respectively, Dr Anupam has over 26 years’ experience in teaching and research in the area of Materials Science, Tribology and Corrosion Studies. He has over 19 years’ experience in academic administration and students affairs. He joined Middle East College as Associate Dean on April 2nd, 2012, before which he has served various institutions in India and Oman as Pro-VC, Director as well as Head of Department. He has also worked as Senior Research Fellow at IIT-BHU, where he was recipient of Research Fellowships from Govt of India and has received Visiting Associateship of University Grants Commission, India. Dr. Srivastav has also served as ex-officio member of Executive and Academic Councils of universities and colleges in India and Oman. He is life members of Indian Society for Mechanical Engineers and Society of Biomaterials and Artificial  Organs (India). He is serving as member of Editorial Board/reviewer of many journals in the area of Engineering/Wear/Materials/Corrosion, He has 28 research papers in journals, international conferences, etc and has contributed a chapter in a book on Biomaterials, published by INTECH, Vienna. Dr Srivastav has also undertaken externally funded research projects in the area of Tribology/biomaterials/gas sensors, funded by research and quality assurance agencies in India and in Oman. He has supervised two doctoral students in the past and currently two more students are registered under his supervision. Dr Anupam has visited several universities in different countries such as China, USA, UK, Singapore, and India and has delivered invited talks at various international conferences.

Mr. Gopalaswami K, Financial Controller

Mr. Gopalaswami K joined MEC on 23rd October 2002. He has more than 35 years of experience in the Finance and Accounting field.

Yasir Mohammed, Head of Technology Services
Mr. Yasir Mohammed is an engineering graduate from Calicut University with over 12 years of experience in the IT sector. He joined Middle East College on 27th September 2006.
