This programme gives you a comprehensive understanding of different communication channels and the issues associated with them. It facilitates the acquisition of skills in the design, development and implementation of communication systems that are appropriate for the environment. The programme also prepares the students to be successful system administrators in a real-time environment.
Candidates seeking direct admission to the programme mentioned should possess a General Education Diploma (Equivalent to 12 years of schooling or equivalent qualification) in the science stream.
A minimum score of 65% in any two of the following modules/courses:
a) Pure Math
Students who do not possess a GFP certificate or an equivalent certificate may take MEC placement test. The placement test determines proficiency levels in English, Pure Math and Computing component.
English Language in the GFP can be exempted on producing IELTS (International English Language Testing System) certificate with a score of 5.5 and above, a TOEFL equivalent or an equivalent international certification
Computing component of the GFP can be exempted if the candidate has successfully completed the ICDL or IC3 or any equivalent international diploma in IT skills.
A score of 60% and above in MEC placement test in each of the component would enable the student for exemption fromGeneral Foundation programme.
