Middle East College (MEC) has introduced an undergraduate Business Administration programme with four pathways: Accounting and Finance, Human Resource Management, Marketing, and General Management. The BA (Honours) programme is offered in academic partnership with Coventry University (CU), UK, which has been ranked as the 13th best University in the United Kingdom in The Guardian University Guide 2019.
The Accounting and Finance pathway equips students with the knowledge and skills to take over professional roles in the areas of Corporate Finance and Accounting, in governmental and international agencies, international trade and public institutions. It will enable students to choose and build a career in Banking, Securities Trading and Analysis, Accounting, Audits and Financial Management, to name a few.
The General Management pathway is designed to provide students with the required knowledge and capabilities to compete for roles in different institutions and business organizations. It will enable students to take up suitable careers and aspire for positions such as Business Advisors, Business Analysts, Business Development Managers and Operation Managers.
One of the most popular programmes is the pathway in Marketing, which will equip students with the knowledge and skills in the latest marketing trends and methods, and develop in them the ability to develop marketing strategies and plans. Marketing offers various job opportunities to graduates, focusing on Marketing and Sales Management, Advertising and Promotion, Brand and Product Management, Market Analysis, Public Relations, Social Media Marketing, Retail Management, Global Marketing, and Purchasing and Distributed Management, and is an option available in almost all the companies.
Human Resource is considered as the most valuable asset of every organization. The Human Resource Management pathway equips the students with the ability to manage resource planning, staff recruitment, develop human resources, and manage the changes in professions within the organizations. Students pursuing this programme will be able to seek career opportunities in the areas of Human Resource (HR) Management, HR Consultancy, HR Development, Labour Relations, Organizational Development, and Training and Professional Development, to name a few.
